Help Students in the Classroom
Before my wife, Cathy, and I founded The Epiphany School of Global Studies, we spent a lot of time in prayer. We knew it was the right thing to do, but the venture seemed daunting. It would take an extraordinary amount of time and energy, and it would also be expensive. We also faced many unknowns and and knew there was much we wouldn’t be able to anticipate, so we prayed for guidance. Then, with a leap of faith, we simply hoped that we find a way to make it work.
We also believed in the goodness of people. We believed that when others found out what we were doing, they would want to help as well. First, because education is important. Second, because other schools need a model to follow in order to improve, a school-model that shares everything it’s learned. Third, because sharing real-world, classroom-tested knowledge about what works – and doesn’t work – is the best way to improve all schools.
Cathy and I have made significant sacrifices – with our time, our energy, and finances. And yet, we can’t do it all. The school has grown beyond our wildest dreams, and the vision of helping other schools is becoming a reality. We’re already offering our guidance to other schools, which allows them to get better too. We’re compiling research. We’re doing everything we can as a school and as a “Think Tank,” but we need your help. Our rapid growth has stretched the limits of our facilities and our classrooms, and we need to expand. We have no other choice, so we are asking you for help.
The school needs funds for facilities, supplies, technology, and classroom programs. Anything you can offer will make us forever grateful, and every penny will be directed toward these important areas. Know too, that your contributions will not only benefit our school, but they will also enhance our abilities to provide the kind of research that will benefit other schools as well.
I can also promise this: because my wife and I believe in the importance of education – because we believe that all schools can improve with the information we willingly provide – we will continue to support the school as well. We will offer a contribution in proportion to the amount raised on this site, which means that every dollar you donate generates twice as much funding to help improve schools everywhere.
